Week 6
So we just found out that the store opening will be April 7th, they’ve pushed back the date from March 31. Which is ideal, it’ll be spring hopefully it will be sunny and warm! This week we just change the complete format of the store, once again. We had to switch out the racks, from being cheap to high end quality. It took almost 2 hours to do the first section of the floor. We also had about 200 new units coming into the store. Thank God I was not here for the weekend.
Weeks 4 & 5
So…I’ve been MIA obviously but nothing extreme happened these weeks, we just prep for a floor move and we did a lot of gift sending to one of our clients. We also color coordinate scarfs and a lot of new items. I believe these were the weeks we had 1000 units sent to us in one day. It was hell. We prepared for our upcoming tax free sale, so I sent a lot of our catalogs to different VIP clients. I worked the very first Saturday at Max Mara and it was incredibly stressful and amazing. I was up on my feet running to both back stock rooms and continuing to prep for the floor move. So…lots of hangers, lots of steaming, lots of competition on the floor to grab the first customer that walked right in. We made, I believe 92k for the week end but ended up short on our goal! :( This week is already starting off a mess! Post pics soon!
Week 5 of my Design class. The purpose was to create shapes using the 2 yards of fabric we had to buy. We each were in teams of two. I think its pretty decent being that I don’t drape clothes and never had before! We also have to sketch what we drape and for our midterms we have to make a small collection! ah.
